The flavor is off-putting, lingers and has a very pronounced and unpleasant aftertaste. Also a very strong negative taste and the accompanying smells of burnt charcoal and celluloids. While profile spectrums differ widely in personal taste profiles I strongly feel that there is something decidedly wrong with the two bags (1lb'ers) that were received. Generally the flavor is good, but this one is most decidedly not.
If you love peppermint flavor then you'll love this coffee. It is no doubt Christmas in a cup! We've ordered this coffee from CoffeeAm for several years and drink it from the day after Thanksgiving until it's gone. I'm a seasonal person so I have certain times I drink certain flavors but honestly this is my all time favorite flavor and I could drink it year around if I wasn't so seasonal!
I love this Peppermint Flavored Coffee. Just the smell of its brewing in the morning helps to start one's day off right and give you that extra burst of energy for a busy day. I order 5 lb of the regular and 5 lb of the decaf quarterly and it is truly a treat. Customer service is always so helpful and I appreciate their reward program. Kudos to Coffee AM for my favorite coffee ever!
This peppermint flavored is the worst coffee I have purchased from coffee AM. Maybe whoever blended it had heavy hand on the flavoring. Whatever, it was so strong that mixing it equally with a simple roast did not improve it. Our solution was to just through the remains of the 5lb bag away.
I'm not allowed to have caffeine anymore, and I really missed peppermint coffee at the holidays. I found this brand and took a chance on it -- and I wasn't disappointed! The mint comes through and the coffee has a lovely, round flavor. I'm here to order another bag so I don't run out :)
